Helios VP Appointed to IAIABC Medical Issues Committee

WHAT: Appointed to the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) Medical Issues Committee

IAIABC is the largest trade association of workers’ compensation jurisdictional agencies in North America, as well as various government entities and private organizations involved in the delivery of workers’ compensation coverage and benefits. Since its founding in 1914, IAIABC has been providing information and education on workers’ compensation policy, regulation, and administration, working to improve and clarify laws, identify best practices, and develop and implement standards. The Medical Issues Committee exists to identify problems, challenges, and innovative approaches in the fields of occupational health medicine, disability, and rehabilitation; develop implementation strategies, information, and technical resources; and provide inter-jurisdictional assistance to promote best medical and disability management practices. “I am proud to serve such an outstanding organization and be a part of this important committee,” said Allen regarding the appointment. “The IAIABC has provided continued advocacy efforts in the workers’ compensation industry. Through my service with IAIABC, I hope to act as an influential voice for positive change in the industry.”
