What: What Went Right: Regulatory and Legislative Highlights of 2014 and 2015 (Ignite Session)
State legislators throughout the country are continually challenged with providing cost-effective care for injured workers while creating a business-friendly environment. In order to do so, legislation to address issues such as prescription drug abuse and misuse, physician dispensing, compounded medications, and closed formularies have been passed throughout the country. This presentation will highlight the legislation enacted in 2014 and 2015 that is paving the way to brighter outcomes for injured workers, employers, and payers alike.

3D Bio Printing for Medical Applications (Session Moderator)
Peter and Peregrine are an amazing father-son team. Peregrine was born without fingers on his hand and his father, Peter, initially got involved in 3D printing with the hope of helping his son. Now they are both involved with e-NABLE, a group formed to make open source plans for various 3D-printed prosthetics available to anyone who needs this type of assistance. Hear their incredible story of the journey to develop a 3D-printed prosthesis for Peregrine. Additionally, Samantha “Sam” Paulsen, who is pursuing her Ph.D. in bioengineering, will talk on breakthrough technologies in tissue regeneration using 3D printing in this fascinating session contemplating what the future may hold.
